A Royal Tomb, a Hero Cult,
and the Birth of a Legend
About Me
Konstantine N. Kokkolis
Konstantine was born and grew up in New Jersey, USA. He studied at Rutgers University and majored in Urban Studies while having a minor in Classics. He also studied at Temple University School of Law and worked in various various fields in a corporate environment.

In 2010, he decided to move to Kefalonia, Greece, the birthplace of his parents. He took up beekeeping and taught English. It was during the inspection of certain family properties that he discovered some properties contained ancient remains, a rather common phenomenon in Greece.

One particular property was different, though. The remains seemed to date to various ancient eras and there was one ancient installation that was particularly intriguing. It didn't look "Greek."
An archaeological field survey had been conducted two decades prior at a nearby area. Many Bronze Age and specifically, Mycenaean era pottery sherds were found during that survey. The author then made one discovery after another after learning about the solar and lunar allegories found in The Odyssey. A synthesis of archaeoastronomy, comparative mythology, and the archaeological record ultimately brought him to the royal tomb two kilometers further away.
